“This workshop gives an introduction to traditional techniques, tools and materials used in relief printing processes, and shows people how easy and fun it can be to make your own prints at home.
Starting with a small piece of lino we will first draw straight onto it, before learning how to use different cutting tools to carve out our simple designs. We’ll then use the carved block to create unique lino prints to take home.” Jamie Temple
This workshop is on a drop-in basis, so feel free to visit at any point during the advertised times and stay as long as you’d like. Free to take part and all materials are provided.
About Jamie
I am an artist and printmaker currently living and working between London and Glasgow. My practice is rooted in printmaking, branching into sculpture and installations that draw from a fascination with the built and natural environments we inhabit. Multiple themes recur throughout my artworks and writing: landscapes and the horizon; views and vanishing points; architectural structures and home. Alongside making new work, it is important for me to share knowledge and skills and I continue to plan and deliver workshops and events focused on engaging and involving the viewer in the making process within welcoming and inclusive environments.
